The Germanium-68 / Gallium-68 generator is a device used to obtain the positron-emitting Ga-68 isotope, which has a short half-life of 68 minutes, through the radioactive decay of the long-lived Ge-68 parent isotope with a 271-day half-life.
The device is designed to produce Ga-68 independently of a cyclotron and enables in-hospital radiopharmaceutical production. Thanks to the metal-free structure of its GMP-approved column and its low-acidity eluent, high-quality, short half-life Ga-68 can be produced easily and rapidly without the need for pre-purification.
